Year 1
Welcome to Rabbits and Hares Classes.
Hello and welcome to Y1. Our class teachers are Miss Pearson and Miss Byworth. Our teaching assistants are Miss Gentle and Miss Fox.
The classroom is bright and well organised and recently painted although the pupils will have opportunities to visit the new KS2 teaching block at times to enable them to get used to moving around for some lessons. There is a music and dance studio there as well as a specialist DT room.
It is especially important to focus during year 1 on basic skills of phonics, mathematics and in incorporating fun into learning in class.
There will be science and PE lessons weekly and for PE please come into school ready in PE kit. Parents will be given the class timetable so they know what is happening when, including homework expectations.
If you have any questions or concerns, always go to your child's class teacher, who will monitor Class Dojo daily.
