We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated school Administration Assistant to be based at Derwent Primary School

 

This is a full-time term time only office position plus 5 inset days and one working week in the summer holidays.

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm 35 hours a week

Level 1D point 2 (£22,366 per annum pro rata)

 

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a school environment and previous office experience is essential.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload and to work with good humour and resilience under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with the wider school community and work colleagues, including accurate spelling and grammar skills for work-based documents.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Some familiarity with school database and reporting systems and IT literate
  • Some understanding and preferably recent safeguarding training with particular reference to primary aged pupils
  • A secure understanding of the need for confidentiality and knowledge of the importance of communicating sensitive and important information to the right staff colleague
  • A desire to improve and respond positively to constructive feedback
